World Wellbeing Week — Let’s Talk Self-Love

27th June – 1st July

Each year, World Wellbeing Week reminds us to pause, reflect, and nurture what matters most — our wellbeing. And at the heart of that? Self-love.

There’s no one else on this planet like you. You deserve love, not only from those around you, but most importantly, from yourself.

We know practising self-love isn’t always easy — especially in difficult times, when life feels heavier. But self-love isn’t selfish. It’s not vanity. It’s about reconnecting with yourself, tending to your mental and physical wellbeing, and learning to treat yourself with the same kindness you offer others.

So, for the next 30 days — and beyond — I invite you to show yourself some love every day. Start small. Start simple. Start now.

30 Ways to Practise Self-Love

Start each day with something positive.
Tell yourself something kind. “I handled that well.” “I look lovely today.” Give yourself a reason to smile.

Nourish your body.
Eat food and drink that helps you thrive. Your body deserves care, not punishment.

Move your body daily.
Not to change it — but to honour it. Dance, stretch, walk. Love the skin you’re in.

Challenge your inner critic.
You don’t have to believe every thought you think. Some of them are just noise.

Surround yourself with good people.
Let those who lift you up remind you how amazing you are.

Stop comparing yourself.
There’s only one you. Comparison robs you of joy. Focus on your own journey.

End toxic relationships.
If someone makes you feel small or unworthy, it’s okay to let them go.

Celebrate your wins.
Big or small — they matter. Be proud of yourself.

Step outside your comfort zone.
Try something new. Growth feels incredible.

Embrace your uniqueness.
Your differences are your superpower.

Redefine beauty.
Forget filters. True beauty isn’t found in a mirror — it’s in how you feel.

Calm your mind every day.
Just a few minutes of stillness can reset everything.

Follow your passion.
That thing you can’t stop thinking about? Do more of that.

Be patient and persistent.
Self-love is a lifelong journey. Take it one gentle step at a time.

Check in with yourself.
Notice your thoughts. Honour your feelings. Respect your needs.

Treat others with kindness.
How we treat others reflects how we feel about ourselves.

Find gratitude daily.
Even on the hard days. Especially on the hard days.

Reach out.
You're not meant to do life alone. Call a friend. Ask for help. Connect.

Learn to say no.
It’s not selfish — it’s necessary.

Forgive yourself.
You’re human. We all make mistakes. Learn, grow, and let go.

Write it out.
Get your thoughts onto paper. No judgment. Just release.

Unplug and turn inward.
Cup of tea in hand. No phone. Just you, reflecting and reconnecting.

Let go of needing approval.
Not everyone will get you. And that’s okay.

Be realistic.
No one is happy all the time. You’re allowed to feel it all. It’s human.

Get creative.
Paint, write, sing, dance — whatever brings you joy. No rules.

Heal what hurts.
Letting go of old wounds takes courage — and you’re so brave.

Find your happy place.
Somewhere local, comforting, where you can just be.

Make a list of your best qualities.
Keep it for days when your light feels dim. Let it remind you who you are.

Speak to yourself with love.
Your inner voice should sound like someone who adores you.

Have fun!
Do more of what sets your soul on fire. Enjoy being you.
