Do you ever feel like you’re trying everything you can to help your oily skin but nothing seems to work?
If you are doing any of the following….. Please stop now.
🌸 You wash more than twice a day
I know it feels nice to have clean fresh skin, but washing too much will strip the skin of its’ natural oils. These help regulate and balance the level of oil, so when you wash too much your body then produces more oil to compensate leading to oily skin.
🌸You skip moisturiser
Most people who have oily skin find it really hard to find the “right” moisturiser. It either feels to heavy, too oily or greasy. But again as I said before using a daily face cream will help balance your skin. Try RECOVERY Face Cream, it is light, soft and does not block the skin or make is more oily-I promise!
🌸You may be using pore clogging products
A lot of well know skincare brands still contain pore clogging ingredients like lanolin, petroleum + mineral oil. These are too heavy to put on the skin as they leave a residue layer on the epidermis (top layer of skin) which stops any water or oil getting in or out – the skin therefore can not breathe! Choose products containing natural plant oils and floral waters which feel light on the skin and allow it to breathe. Even if you have oily skin please remember to moisturise every day.
🌸Your scrubbing to hard
Now, exfoliating is fantastic for oily skin along like everything only in moderation! Using an exfoliator for you face and body 2-3 times a week is perfect. If you scrub too hard and too much you will not only irrititate your skin you will take away its’ natural oils. Try my RADIANCE Face Scrub as it is perfect for oily skin and the #sweetorange helps balance out your sebum levels. For the body LUMINOSITY is ideal too as it is blended with #sheabutter too which helps keep the skin super soft!
🌸You need to tone down your toner
Be careful when using toners as so many contain alcohol and oil stripping ingredients. Choose a gentle floral water based one. Did you know you can use HYDRATING Rose Mist as a toner too??
