When caring for sensitive skin, we find that choosing the right blend of ingredients is highly important. This is why we only use natural ingredients and always use organic where possible. Instead of just telling you that all of the ingredients we use are wonderfully beneficial for your skin we wold like to explain why. Read a little more on each of the ingredients we use in our beautifully handmade products. 


We all love this fruit to eat and spread on our toast. It contains high levels of vitamin E, along with other potent antioxidants which makes avocado oil ideal for clearing up skin conditions. Can really help reduce signs of eczema and rosacea and improve the overall appearance and youthfulness of the skin.


As we age, everyone begins to worry about the appearance of fine lines and the loss of elasticity in their skin. Aloe leaves contain a plethora of antioxidants including, beta carotene, vitamin C and E that can help improve the skin’s natural firmness and keep the skin hydrated.


The oil of an argan nut is most powerful for helping repair the skin.  This amazing oil is able to help eliminate the appearance of age spots and scars, acne and dermatitis. This oil leaves your skin both feeling and looking young. Premature ageing is a common issue, argan oil can prevent those typical symptoms of ageing.


This pretty orange fruit is a rich source of polyunsaturates and high levels of essential fatty acids. Therefore this soothing and softening oil has a light texture , so is easily absorbed into the skin. Good for mature, dry, sensitive or inflamed skins.


We use certified organic and unrefined beeswax is used in our products. Known for its ability to help the skin retain moisture, is nourishing and softening. Bees Wax is rich in fatty acids which help keep the skin silky soft and can prevent early signs of ageing.


This funny looking fruit creates a wonderful oil. It is rich in Omega-6 and is moisturising, rejuvenating and aids in skin cell regeneration. It has a light texture which is easily absorbed into the skin, therefore great for oily skin as well.


This funny looking version of a lime is very similar. The essential oil is lovely for soothing sensitive skin, but also cleanses and helps balance oily skin. Fresh and zingy, the scent also has a comforting effect on mind.


We decided on using cane sugar in our scrubs because it is a fantastic scrubbing agent for the skin on the body and it is still gentle and doesn’t damage the skin, blends perfectly with coconut oil too.


Calendula oil, or marigold as it’s also known, is a perfect oil as it has super skin soothing and restorative properties. It may be used to soothe sore, irritated and inflamed skin conditions such as eczema, rashes, dry skin and dermatitis.

A very gentle, soothing oil with great moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties so is great for all skin types.


Coconut oil is perfect for all types of skin, including sensitive skin. Unlike mineral oil, there is no chance of having any adverse side effects on the skin from the application of this oil. It also helps in treating various skin problems, including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections. Coconut Oil also delays the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of skin, which normally accompany aging. The credit to this benefit goes to its well-known antioxidant properties.


It is a well-proven and safe help-Emulsifier/Stabiliser that does NOT go rancid and has been used since 1900 instead of sperm whale oil. It contains approximately 30 cetyl alcohol (C16) and stearyl alcohol (C18). The high content of stearyl alcohol makes it a more effective and forgiving stabiliser than cetyl alcohol with a low stearyl alcohol content.


One of the reasons that cocoa butter is so valuable is its high concentration of antioxidant compounds, including oleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid. Although these are technically fatty acids, they are beneficial for the body, and help to neutralize free radicals throughout the body, particularly in the skin. By reducing the occurrence of oxidative stress, cocoa butter can help reduce the signs of aging, including wrinkles and age marks.


A beautiful fresh scented flower. Both its’ essential oil and floral water are very gentle and soothing on the skin.  It can reduce inflammation and can be helpful with dermatitis, acne, psoriasis and general allergic skin conditions. Promotes relaxation and soothes fear and anger.


Who would have thought the cotton plant can also produce a wonderful oil as well?  It is  highly nourishing, soothing and light, which allows it to easily absorb into the skin. Perfect for oily or combination skins too.


We use a vegetable based natural emulsifier. Naturally derived from palm oil and rapeseed oil, this multi functional emulsifier contains no animal materials at all and the vegetable sources are certified NON GM and is also gluten free.


Aside from relieving tension, pain & detoxifying the body, Epsom Salts have several other positive effects. The salts also help to regulate fluid retention, keeping the skin looking supple and firm. Treat yourself to a scrummy Epsom Salt Bath once a week, you will float out feeling refreshed and energized!


These are by-products of the essential oil distillation process and as such retain the water soluble properties of the oils. We use the healing and soothing Rose, Orange, Peppermint and Chamomile Infused Waters to help hydrate, soften and soothe any sensitive skins.

ECO Preservative

This is added to all of our water/fat combo skin care products. It allows our products to last for around 18 months. Sodium benzoate & Potassium sorbate is a natural liquid preservative, which can be used in leave-on as well as in rinse-off products. Euxy K 712 was developed for use in cosmetic formulations. With a skin-friendly pH value of up to 5.5. This preservative system is acceptable to the Soil Association for use in products that are looking for Soil Association accreditation too.


This incredible essential oil has many therapeutic properties. It is wonderful at brings new life to ageing skin by promoting a healthy production of new cells. With its woody and earthy aroma it is perfect for sensitive skin and also helps balance oily conditions. Breathing in this beautiful scent will help soothe and comfort the mind and spirit.

FRANGIPANI Essential Oil

Bring the exotic scent of the tropics to your skin with this incredible smell. Such a beautiful flower with gorgeous uplifting effects of the mind and soul.

GRAPEFRUIT Essential Oil

We just love this fresh fruity scent . It is balancing and cleansing, along with being helpful for congested and oily skin. A happy smell, and has an uplifting and reviving effect on the mind.

GERANIUM Essential Oil

A very popular garden flower and very colourful too. Calming on the skin and balances the oil produced by the skin. Particularly good for sluggish, congested and oily skin as it can enliven skin by improving the flow of blood. Also lifts the spirits and is balancing on the mind.


Completely Vegetable derived (extracted from coconut), Vegetable Glycerin can be found in most of our skincare products and is often used as an alternative to alcohol to extract botanicals. Glycerine is used in moisturisers to stop skin drying out and in the formulation of skincare products to deal with psoriasis, rashes, burns, bed sores and cuts.


When these salts are added to a bath of warm water, they not only provide amazing nutrients to your body, they also work as a powerful detoxifier.  When dissolved in water, HPS becomes an ionic solution that helps to draw the toxins out of skin and adipose tissues.  Treat yourself to a scummy Himalayan Pink Salt Bath, you will float out feeling refreshed and energized!


It has a chemical composition similar to our own sebum, thus has a balancing effect on the skin.It is rich in Vitamin A  and E, it is a strong antioxidant. It is highly nourishing and moisturising, and helps restore the skin’s natural pH level.

LAVENDER Essential Oil

Antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, known for its healing properties, in particular in relation to burns. Has a balancing effect on sebum and promotes growth of new cells helping to reduce scarring. Can be beneficial in cases of eczema, acne and psoriasis. Cleanses and soothes the spirit.

LIME Essential Oil

Another popular citrus fruit, used for many things but fabulous for detoxifying the body and brightening dull complexions.  The lime scent is beautifully refreshing and cooling, bringing clarity of thought to the mind.

LEMONGRASS Essential Oil

MANDARIN Essential Oil

Drizzled over salad or rubbed into skin, this oil is rich in antioxidants, and helps slow the natural aging process of the human body. It does wonders for the skin, which gets a natural shine and glow from the enriching oil. Premature aging is a serious problem for many people, but by maintaining skin elasticity, olive oil can prevent those typical symptoms of aging.

PALMAROSA Essential Oil

A lovely woody scent this lovely plant oil helps promote cell regeneration along with restoring water balance therefore is beneficial to dry & dehydrated skin. Also having a calming yet uplifting effect on the emotions. Great for refreshing  and clarifying  the mind.

PATCHOULI Essential Oil

This busy plant oil is great for helping regrowth of new skin cells. It can help heal rough & cracked skins, and soothes inflamed conditions too. A grounding oil which sharpens and clarifies the mind.

PEPPERMINT Essential Oil

A popular and well know oil. A very cleansing oil, and can be used to freshen the skin and calm headaches too.  Perfect for refreshing and revitalising the mind and clearing the head.


The well known flower seed produces a nourishing oil which is High in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids and Vitamin C. It is anti-inflammatory and has healing and tissue regenerating properties which nourish and moisturise the skin. An excellent oil for mature skins.

ROSEWOOD Essential Oil

Brings new life to ageing skin and helps balance oily conditions. Soothing and comforting effect on mind to help balance out moods.  


Shea butter is literally our favourite skin softner! It aids in the skin’s natural collagen production and contains oleic, stearic, palmitic and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. With long term use, many people report skin softening and strengthening as well as wrinkle reduction. It makes our creams and balms even more creamy.

SWEET ORANGE Essential Oil

A well known scrumptious fruit. The essential oil and floral water brings new life to ageing skin and helps balance oily conditions but it is also gentle enough for sensitive skin. It has an uplifting and comforting effect on mind too.


Vitamin E has certain antioxidant effects, helping to stimulate the growth of new cells, protecting the skin against infections, reducing inflammatory problems, including eczema and rosacea, and improving the appearance and youthfulness of your skin. We add is to most of our products to give a little extra skin nourish.

YLANG YLANG Essential Oil

This exotic flower oil oozes relaxation and luxury. It can help balance sebum levels in the skin,and is  effective for both oily and dry skin. The scent is very relaxing and earthy.  Calming to the nervous system and brings about feelings of joy- bonus.
